Public Law

The research in Public Law covers the legal aspects of the exercise of power in Parliament, Government, local government and other parts of public administration.

The field of Public Law includes Constitutional Law and Administrative Law, including General Administrative Law, Administrative Court Procedure and Specialised Administrative Law, such as Social Welfare Law and Migration Law. The research in these fields is closely related to the research in Tax Law, Environmental Law and EU Law. Several of the researchers are also active in the Health Law Research Centre.

The research in Public Law at the faculty has an international perspective with comparative studies of other legal systems and investigations of the impact of EU Law and the European Convention of Human Rights on Swedish law. The research is conducted in both Swedish and English.
