Lucat and the LU card

Lucat

Lucat is the university's shared address directory. Here you can find staff and search at organisational level. In addition, Lucat serves as a gateway to other university-wide services.

Some examples of such services are:

  • LU card
  • The university's wireless network Eduroam
  • Primula
  • LU portal
  • LUCRIS

You will receive your Lucat data from the IT department. However, please note that you are responsible for updating your personal information in Lucat. You do this through Passport.

The LU card

Lund University has adopted a common access card for both staff and students. The access card is used to enter the university's buildings, and your authorisation is determined by your role at the university in Lucat.

If you are employed by us and need extended authorisation to other premises at the university, we ask you to contact the premises' superintendent or equivalent.

The LU card also serves as an ID document at the university. However, as a student at the Faculty of Law, you should note that the LU card does not function as an ID document for exams.

If you as an employee want one of your colleagues to have access to your room, please email support [at] jur [dot] lu [dot] se (support[at]jur[dot]lu[dot]se) and we will be happy to help you with this.
