X-Courses

Don’t miss the opportunity to take our X-Courses for a chance to broaden your skills! Each course is worth 5 credits and is offered part-time, making it suitable to combine with your regular studies. The courses cover various current societal issues, allowing you to apply your knowledge in your studies, future career, and everyday life. There are only general entry requirements for the X-Courses, no prior legal knowledge is required.

What is it like to take an X-Course?

We have extensive experience in offering introductory courses for students without prior legal knowledge, and today, our courses are among the most applied at the university. The X-Courses are designed to be short and interdisciplinary, aimed at those who wish to expand their existing knowledge. There are no specific entry requirements, meaning the courses are open to everyone. The courses offered in the autumn semester of 2025 cover topics such as artificial intelligence, human rights, sustainability, democracy, and defense. You can find more details about each course and its structure through the links below.

Our X-courses

How do I manage another course alongside my other studies?

The X-Courses are designed precisely for this purpose! The courses are part-time, and among the options, you will find courses with pre-recorded lectures, allowing for great flexibility. The examinations are structured to not interfere with your regular studies. Both teachers and administrators are available for any questions or concerns to support your learning experience. The idea is that these courses will help you broaden and deepen your current education with contemporary legal knowledge. Whether a course is offered as a distance course, or an in-person class, is specified on each course’s webpage via the links above.
